About Us
Spam-StopTM is an anti-spam service that protects
children from inappropriate and unsolicited email. It is the only solution to the growing number of damaging emails reaching childrens'
inboxes. By using the easy-to-install managed service, which is monitored 24/7 by a team of 10 anti-spam experts, parents and teachers can
ensure that pornography, drugs sales and all other forms of unwanted email are locked out for good. Spam-Stop was developed by
Cambridge-educated email experts and is based on proprietary technology. It addresses the current flaws in existing anti-spam software,
allowing it to achieve the highest ever levels of email filtration. Traditional anti-spam technologies work in one of two ways. Either
they only let through emails from people the user has contacted in the past. This means some 'good' emails get blocked and the user has to
go through spam, in a separate folder, to retrieve them anyway. Alternatively they have a list of recognised spam. However this second method
cannot guarantee that all emails received are wanted. Spam-Stop has solved both these issues to achieve its 100 per cent
effectiveness. In addition, parents and teachers can protect children within ten minutes of accessing www.spam-stop.co.uk, rather than attempting the laborious task of loading software packages onto each
PC that needs protecting. Spam-Stop was devised in response to an incident with its creator, Farrukh Khan, and his eight-year-old
niece in 2003. She opened an innocent-looking email that in fact held adult content. Determined to protect her, Farrukh looked for an
effective anti-spam solution, but none could guarantee to safeguard kids. Nearly all were created for, and marketed to, corporates and they
either let some unwanted emails through, or blocked 'good' ones. In response, Farrukh worked in conjunction with a Cambridge email,
spam and security expert to model a new and unique prototype system. It then took a high-calibre team a further six months to develop the
full Spam-Stop service that has been proven to be completely effective in trials.
